Hawaii
Hawaii can do no wrong in my eyes.
You can wake up early and ambitiously hike across the cliffs of Nā Pali and swim with parrot fish, turtles, manta rays and monk seals.
Or you can let the soft morning sun’s rays wake you up naturally, Rise to drink some coffee and watch the clouds drift across the sky. Duck inside while it rains and then sneak back outside to admire the inevitable rainbow.
You can sit by the sea and hear each unique wave crash against the beaches of lava and watch the deep blue water cascade back down into the Pacific Ocean.
You can drive across the islands to the tops of volcanos or the ends of to the roads. The asphalt stops and the sacred lands of the Waipi’o Valley, the Nā Pali Cliffs, the Pohala Valley begin. Or simply ascend as close as possible to the heavens atop Haleakala, Mauna Loa or Mauna Kea.
